The Beauty Shop

The Brief

It was time for a revamp for the beauty salon reception. The building is a grade 2 listed property so it was important to ensure that whatever we did it respected and complimented the period and classic in feel whilst giving the space a fresh look. In the lower section to the reception area many beauticians didn’t want to work in the space as it felt a little tired and unloved. It was also hard to see from the outside if the salon was open as there are restrictions with signage. As it was a commercial business we needed to keep downtime to a minimum.

What We Did

We added vine roses to the walls and had it creeping across the ceilings which created a real wow factor when walking in, we continued this through to the lower section too. We changed some of the lighting to ensure it was brighter for the beauticians within the section ensuring it was practical and functional for them to work. We also added a neon sign in this space plus one in the window saying it was open so then you could see from the outside. Creating a feature wall in the reception and having the bench recovered helped to give those finishing touches need with some extra POS. The project was delivered in a day when they were closed so no impact to the business. Many of their clients often comment on how great it looks.
