Stirling way, Lounge

To create a contemporary living room where the family could get together for movie night or for the all important footy match! They always had selected browns, creams and really neutral colours so they wanted to do something different but wasn’t sure which way to go and what would work together. The main thing was ensuring there was a large sofa, tv screens and audio throughout the living room but also connected with the kitchen speakers throughout. My client also has grandchildren so we needed to be conscious of fingerprints on surfaces with material selections. There was also a surprise bespoke jukebox that my client was surprising his wife with as a gift as she had always wanted one so needed to keep this under wraps.

The client utilised our premium service, where I sourced and managed trades, spatial planning, purchasing and styling whilst managing project budgets and timeline. It was clear a media wall was the perfect solution for this client using a blend of fabric for the central sections where the tv and speaker system could be hidden away combined with having bespoke cabinetry either side to really give impact and adding that element of design and style. I am a huge fan of lighting and layering lighting as you need to ensure its practical and functional as well as just for some ambience. We delivered all elements from building the media wall, ceiling coffer, bespoke cabinetry through to all the made to measure wave curtains, sofas and chairs and all elements in the space. One of my favourite part was working with Sound Leisure for the bespoke jukebox knowing this would mean so much to my client. The reveal was amazing and its fair to say there were tears all round with the juke box playing their song too…the client loved it!
