Chapel Hill, Lounge

The Brief

To create a boutique hotel-inspired feel room but not something traditional. The room was narrow and long, my client wanted somewhere to sit and relax, but also a space to entertain friends and create some storage was required. My client loved deco a little maximalism too, but had never liked curtains or green.

What We Did

The client utilised our premium service which was everything from conceptual mood boards through to putting the last vase in place. I started with the mood boards and spatial planning, with the room being long and narrow with a low ceiling, its important to try to open up the space, whilst adding layers through lighting to create a different feeling and utilise mood lighting too. In creating the ceiling coffer gave the room layers with lighting combined with floor to ceiling curtains actual makes the room look taller. Having a statement media wall helped to give the impact statement when you walked into the room and a good way to conceal wires and sockets too with the nature wall section. The herringbone bone style evocore flooring helped to widen the room and ran throughout from the hallway. Sofas and chairs were made bespoke through us as were all the soft furnishings, fabric selection is really important too. With the fabrics selected they were all soft touch materials to give that luxury feel. Its fair to say the client loved the result as you can see from their testimonial and then we went onto do their hall stairs and landing too.
