Carr Hill: Guest Bedroom

To create a bedroom that felt like a country hotel, to keep it simple and to make the room feel complete. There was a chair that had been in the family for years so it was important to keep this if we could.

We provided a blend between design and style consultations plus decor and furnishings. We added moulded panels to provide that instant feel of country boutique working with french inspiration on those traditional elements. Changing the pendent lighting to working in harmony along with new bedsides contributed to the feel and design style we were looking for. Having a statement wallpaper had real impact and using the Wedgewood Waterlilly collection kept that level of traditional and sophistication whilst make a statement. The chair was really important so we simply had it recovered using a textured fabric which hints of blue that worked with the wallpaper and curtains, in added the double piping element to the chair helped to give the chair a more modern look whilst still being respectful for the period the chair was from.
